Audi, VW 3.0 litre TDI engine Inlet manifold fault

Monday 12 March, 2012

An increasingly common problem on 3.0 TDI engines is a fault relating to the inlet manifolds.

The inlet manifolds, which are mostly hidden in the heart of the engine bay can become a problem.

There are mechanical flaps that are moved and controlled by an electric motor. The motor can become faulty, the shaft that has the butterfly flaps attached can become worn and the butterfly flaps can break. Any of these faults can cause your engine warning light to come on.

These faults can only be correctly diagnosed with the correct diagnosis equipment. Here at Russell Automotive Centre, London’s Leading Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda Specialist we are the only Award Winning Specialist in London with the same diagnosis equipment as a main dealer. So you can be sure when you come to us you will have the correct diagnosis and your vehicle will worked on by the highest skilled technicians.

Fleet Manager, Fleet Van Servicing Centre North London.

Whilst travelling to you you ordered the part, and an hour after my initial call my van was on the lift and a new starter-motor was being fitted. An hour later I was on my way back to work. I cannot thank you enough for your help. Not only did you go out of your way to keep us working, you did it at a very sensible price.
